The not so long awaited FL Studio 7 is finally in the stores so the DJs, music producers, beat-enthusiasts and everyone interested can now get the fresh flavor of the new software. FL STUDIO supports all kinds of plugins. This allows you to easily include more instruments, special effects or whatever comes to mind.
Although the program is not free, a fully functional demo is available for evaluation purposes. FL Studio's installation package is not small, so it may take some time to download and install the program. It works on Windows XP and all later editions and you can also use it on Mac OS X with XP, Vista or Win 7 running in Boot Camp. Furthermore, FL Studio is available for iOS and Android devices as well.
Unless you have some knowledge about producing music with a digital audio workstation, FL Studio's full-screen user interface will definitely intimidate you, because it may seem more complex than a commercial airplane's dashboard sometimes. However, if you have an idea on what you want to produce, you will find this program to be invaluable.
The program's functionality is based on countless plug-ins and presets, which are organized in a tree structure, on the left side of the interface. They are essentially special effects tools, and you can bring them into the main area of the interface by simply clicking and dragging them from the tree structure. You can find all sorts of neatly illustrated and fully functional controllers, equalizers and other specialized tools.
Each plug-in can be used to generate and manipulate different sounds in unique ways. The software is constantly updated, so you can always expect to find new or updated plug-ins.
Pros:
FL Studio includes a huge amount of plug-ins for producing music. The available plug-ins are neatly organized and you can insert them instantly.
Cons:
The software is intended for professional use, so inexperienced users may have a hard time using it.
Any idea you may have for a new musical track can be made real with FL Studio.

Fruity Loops, now known as FL Studio, is a nifty little (well the old versions were little...the latest version is over 200 MB :) music sequencer.
Can't play the drums?, violin? trumpet, saxophone? OK you get the drift..Fruity Loops can play them all for you, literally!
In a nutshell Fruity Loops enables you to place prerecorded music samples of instruments, vocals, sound effects or any part of a recorded tune in the sequence of your choice within a time line. Then you can simply play it back in any order or fashion you want and also add smart effects to the playback.
At first fruity loops will seem scary to a new user, there are so many features and options. As you would expect at looking at a DJ turntable which has so many buttons and sliders, Fruity Loops is no different, but once you get the hang of it (Fruity Loops includes decent documentation) you will be creating awesome music in no time.
Fruity Loops was born in 1997 by its original creator Didier Dambrin. Fruity Loops Version 1.0 was literally a drum machine :) It then underwent a series of upgrades before it became FL Studio, an all powerful, feature rich music sequencer where you can literally produce the sound of an orchestra!
